You are inspired to conscious evolution — your life is committed not only to personal growth, but is also purposed toward making a positive difference in relation to our larger world.
You have tasted spiritual inspiration. Again and again. Yet you know there's more. You sense that it's possible to live a spiritual life 24/7, not just in occasional glimpses. You long to live a sustainable, spiritual life — one that transforms not only you but also others — and can ultimately make a difference in our larger world.
You can see that we live in a critical time in human history and evolution. Our lives and choices count — right now. And you feel called to participate in creating a better future.
Yet you feel frustrated. You feel profound evolutionary tension. Even though you want to make a difference, you are merely one of more than six billion people on the planet, and huge forces in our world appear to be spiraling out of control.
You sense that a truer, bigger, more meaningful life is possible, necessary, and calling you forward. Yet, you know that in order to really respond in a way that will contribute, you're going to need to be part of something bigger than yourself. You know you will need a culture to help you grow and evolve in ways that have not previously been possible for human beings.
You've realized that talk is cheap. Evolution doesn't just need affirmation. It needs awakened, conscious, wise participants and leaders who have evolved to the point that they can serve the emergence of a new kind of human life, human culture, and human politics.
You know that practice is not optional. Sustainable transformation requires ongoing committed integral practice involving your body, mind, spirit, and shadow — and your service to others.
You need community. You know that personal growth is quickened most by conscious community, and you find fragments of it where you can. And you long for more.
You feel called to be one of the evolutionaries who helps bring in a sustainable human future — a human life that cares for the whole planet — a world that truly works for everyone, human and non-human. And you're excited about the new spiritual foundations of the cultural renaissance that's necessary to create that future.
You have three key questions:
- How can you connect — and stay connected — with the clarifying, inspirational energy of God, Spirit, Consciousness and Evolution, in the midst of the sometimes discouraging events of life?
- How can you get the specific support, guidance, and training you need for real evolutionary transformation?
- And, where can you find a supportive community of kindred spirits who are committed to living life on the same level as you are?
Craig Hamilton and Terry Patten have devoted themselves to full participation in intense communities of committed spiritual practice for almost 30 years. They have joined hands to co-facilitate an experiment in creating a community of practice for people who are willing to dedicate regular time to learning to live an integral evolutionary lifestyle, and who are interested in really supporting each other in practice and awakening and in embodying self-transcending responsibility to Life, in all of life, but directly through their relationships with each other.
Why is this an experiment?
It's about living at the leading edge of consciousness and culture, in a way that's never been tried before.
It's more than simply taking on an Integral Life Practice. It's not organized around a guru or spiritual authority. It's intended to help "carve new grooves in the Kosmos" for a cultural emergent that's not merely about spiritual practice, not merely about Integral theory, not merely about social entrepreneurship, not merely about evolutionary activism, not merely about personal transformation — it's something that intrinsically includes all these good things — and that in bringing them all together becomes something even more.
What is Integral community?
Integral community is a place where we can come together intelligently in a way that rises above conformity, competition, idealism and political correctness. And yet it expresses itself as sincere, vulnerable, intimately authentic relationships. It is also a place for loving celebration of life and human community.
It's an experiment in bringing sober purpose and playful creative synergy to the serious matter of living deeply in an age of intense superficiality.
Would you like to be one of the pioneering souls who will seize the opportunity to join with others to engage this experiment?
Michael Murphy and George Leonard, after hosting hundreds and thousands of transformational workshops at Esalen, discovered one key lesson: sustainable transformation requires sustained practice.
- Regular meetings with other practitioners
- Doing real transformative practices regularly
- A community with deepening relationships
- Sustaining your committments over time
These are the ingredients for sustaining transformation and a truly integral, evolutionary life. It's not easy to find the right circumstances for practice. But, luckily, you're invited to be a member of a leading-edge experiment in creating a sustainable integral evolutionary practice community.

About Craig Hamilton
Craig Hamilton is a pioneer in the emerging field of evolutionary spirituality. Craig began his spiritual jour ney in the ashrams and monasteries of the East, but it was his liberating encounter with an authentic Western teaching of enlightenment that provided the catalyst and container for his own transform ation. For 13 years, he lived and worked in a dynamic living laboratory of evolution under the direct guidance of EnlightenNext founder and spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen, ultimately playing a key role in the leadership of this thriving international spiritual community.
In his inspired writings, talks, and teachings, he calls us to awaken beyond the confines of the separate ego and dedicate our lives to the further evolution of consciousness itself. In his current work, Craig integrates decades of intensive spiritual practice to articulate an authentic "evolutionary mysticism" and "integral enlightenment" which illuminates the vital relationship between individual transformation and collective evolution.
Craig is a founding member and scholar of Ken Wilber's Integral Institute, and a participant in the Synthesis Dialogues, a 35-person interdisciplinary think tank presided over by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His spiritual dialogues with other luminaries are regularly heard by New Dimensions Radio's seven million listeners, and form the basis of several celebrated webinar series, including "The Great Integral Awakening: Pioneering A New Spiritual Path." A frequent contributor to Shift magazine and co-author of IONS' 2008 Shift Report, he is also co-writer and story editor of the forthcoming documentary film The SHIFT.
Craig lives with his wife, Claire Zammit, in Northern California, where he offers instruction and guidance in evolutionary spiritual practice through a series of telecourses and guided online practice and inquiry groups. His personal website is www.integralenlightenment.com
About Terry Patten
Terry Patten is a key visionary, thinker, and teacher in the emerging fields of Integral spirituality and leadership, inspiring people worldwide to a new trans-rational spirituality and evolutionary activism.
He worked with Ken Wilber and a core team at Integral Institute to develop Integral Life Practice, which distills ancient and modern practices into an intelligent contemporary transformational lifestyle. A coach, consultant, teacher, and author of four books, he has worked at the leading edge for thirty years, integrating ancient and modern practices to raise consciousness, and helping leaders bring higher consciousness into practical actions that transform complex human systems.
He holds degrees from the University of Michigan and John F. Kennedy University, and teaches in the Integral Executive Education program at the University of Notre Dame.
In October 2009, as Master of Ceremonies at Renaissance2: The Great Shift Gathering, a week-long conference featuring Barbara Marx Hubbard and Don Beck that launched the Worldshift Alliance, Terry enabled a diverse group of stakeholders to cohere and realize the conference's greater mission.
He founded, built, and sold the catalog company Tools For Exploration, which defined the field of consciousness technologies. While at the helm of Tools, he co-developed a series of biofeedback devices and psychoacoustic recordings, including the Institute of HeartMath's original widely-used heart-rate variability monitor. He is also a social entrepreneur involved in supporting restorative Redwood forestry.
An original senior trainer with Integral Institute, he teaches worldwide, bringing the inspiration of Integral and evolutionary spirituality to communities all over the globe. He also works worldwide as an activist in the areas of conscious community, culture change, leadership, and climate prosperity. He is a certified Integral Coach® and has worked with Venerable Patrick Sweeney to develop an Integral Tantric Buddhism.
Terry lives in Marin County, California with his wife, Deborah Boyar, where he coaches and consults with key evolutionary leaders worldwide.
